  • 15 cents from tax equivalents and state shared revenue
  • 8 cents from licenses and permits
  • 8 cents from other sources
  • 7 cents from charges for services
  • 3 cents from interest, rents & etc.
  • 2 cents from fines & forfeits

Out of each dollar the City spends:

  • 37 cents for police, fire and building inspection
  • 21 cents for streets, garbage, trash collection, eng. & projects
  • 13 cents for payment on debt
  • 10 cents for parks & rec., animal shelter, youth services & culture
  • 8 cents for general government
  • 7 cents for insurance, data processing, garage, planning, etc.
  • 4 cents for community services contracts
